Description
Cephalomannine is a diterpene found in Taxus that exhibits anticancer and nephroprotective activities. Cephalomannine may display anticancer activity through binding of tubulin although current research is limited. This compound suppresses cell growth of neuroblastoma and glioblastoma cells and inhibits activity of DNA polymerase. In animal models of polycystic kidney disease, cephalomannine promotes microtubule assembly and increases survival rates.
