Description

Diminazene is a diamidine compound that activates angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2), opposing the effects of angiotensin II (AT II) and the AT1 receptor. Diminazene acts as an antibacterial and anti-parasitic compound, inhibiting DNA polymerase in eukaryotic cells. Diminazene exhibits efficacy against Trypanosoma, Babesia, Brucella, and Streptococcus.
