Description

Kendomycin is a cytotoxic macrolide antibiotic that exhibits antibacterial and anticancer activities. Kendomycin induces depolarization of the mitochondrial membrane potential and activates caspase 3, inducing apoptosis in lymphoma cells. Kendomycin inhibits the proteasome and also binds Bcl-xl. Kendomycin is also an antagonist at endothelin receptors.
