Description

L-Phenylalaninol is a non-essential amino acid that exhibits anticancer and antacid activities. In melanoma cells, L-phenylalaninol increases activity of cytochrome c reductase and tau-glutamyl transpeptidase, inhibiting cell proliferation. L-Phenylalaninol also inhibits intestinal absorption of phenylalanine and may decrease gastric acid secretion and ulcer formation.
