Description

Prothionamide is an antibacterial compound that is clinically used to treat Mycobacterium-based diseases such as tuberculosis and leprosy. Prothionamide forms adducts with nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD), inhibiting InhA and preventing synthesis of mycoloic acids.
