Description

SCH-772984 is an inhibitor of ERK1/2 that exhibits anticancer chemotherapeutic activity. This compound inhibits cell and tumor growth in a variety of models, including cells featuring B-Raf, NRAS, and KRAS mutations. In combination with the braf inhibitor vemurafenib, SCH-722984 shows efficacy against BRAF-mutant melanoma with innate or required resistance or non-BRAF mutant melanoma. It also exhibits antitumor efficacy in pancreatic cancer cells when combined with cucurbitacin B, a natural tetracyclic triterpene.
