Description
Carmustine is a nitrosourea alkylator that is clinically used to treat brain cancers, multiple myeloma, and lymphomas. Carmustine exhibits anticancer chemotherapeutic and anticoagulant activities. Carmustine is often co-administered with MGMT inhibitors to increase its chemotherapeutic efficacy. In vitro and in vivo, carmustine also induces apoptosis in platelets, increasing bleeding time.
