Description

15-acetoxyscirpenol is a trichothecene mycotoxin initially produced by Fusarium that displays cytotoxicity in Jurkat T cells. This compound increases cleavage of poly(ADP)-ribose polymerase (PARP), activation of caspase 3, and DNA fragmentation, leading to apoptosis in vitro.
