Description
Stresscopin is a 2-amino acid peptide extension of urocortin III that includes a preceding T-K tag. Like urocortin III, stresscopin is a member of the corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) family that binds to the CRF type 2 receptor (CRFR2). Stresscopin signaling results in suppression of food intake, delay of gastric emptying, hypotension/hypertension (depending on the model), and tachycardia.
