Description

Verruculogen is a mycotoxin initially produced by species of Aspergillus; it is considered a tremorgenic indole alkaloid and may induce development of neurological disorders. Verruculogen inhibits Ca2+-activated K+ (BK) channels and may also act as an antagonist on GABA-A receptors, binding at or near the Cl- channel.
