Description

Dapiprazole is an α1-adrenergic antagonist that displays preference for α1A and α1D receptors over α1B receptors. Dapiprazole is used as a miotic compound, evoking pupillary constriction and reversing mydriasis or dilation. Additionally, dapiprazole decreases mean intraocular pressure in patients with glaucoma. Dapiprazole also decreases pigment shedding and increases outflow facility and pigment clearance in patients with pigmentary glaucoma.
