Description

Ascorbyl palmitate is a fat-soluble vitamin C derivative that is commercially used as a vitamin C supplement and antioxidative food additive; it is also used in research models to aid in drug delivery or tissue targeting. Ascorbyl palmitate is the ester of ascorbic acid and palmitic acid. In porcine skin, this compound decreases free radical formation.
