Description

γ-3 Melanocyte-stimulating hormone (γ-3 MSH) is an endogenous POMC-derived peptide found in the pituitary that activates melanocortin receptors. γ-3 MSH promotes release of melanin by melanocytes and modulates adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)-induced steroidogenesis.
