Description

Ricobendazole is an anti-parasitic nitroimidazole compound administered subcutaneously, unlike most nitroimidazoles. Ricobendazole binds the colchicine site of tubulin, inhibiting microtubule polymerization. Ricobendazole also exhibits anticancer activity, potentiating the effects of taxanes and inhibiting cell proliferation in breast cancer cells, non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells, and melanoma cells.
