Description
JWH-133 is a potent, selective cannabinoid receptor 2 (CB2) agonist. It activates CB2, causing a variety of end results. Recent studies show that JWH-133 plays a role in dopamine signaling, osteolysis, and acute liver failure. JWH-133 activation of CB2 increased the amount of dopamine firing and decreased cocaine use in a mouse self-administration model for chemical dependence. In breast-cancer derived osteolysis, CB2 activation by JWH-133 increased the amount of cell movement. And in acute liver failure LPS-mouse models, JWH-133 increased the amount of macrophages, causing an anti-inflammatory response and increasing survival in mice.
