Description
Endothelin-2 is an endogenous peptide agonist at endothelin A and B (ET-A/B) receptors that exhibits anti-angiogenic and vasoconstrictive activities. Endothelin-2 inhibits endothelial cell migration and invasion, suppressing vascular development in the retina. In arteries, this peptide induces vasoconstriction in a PLC/ROCK-dependent manner. Additionally, endothelin-2 promotes myelination in animal models.
