Like other taxanes, this compound may inhibit DNA polymerase and microtubule depolymerization, exhibiting anticancer activity. Also known as sec-Butyl Analog of Paclitaxel, it is an impurity that may be found when paclitaxel is produced by plant cell fermentation.
