Description
Cytochalasin A is a mycotoxin actin polymerization inhibitor initially produced by species of Aspergillus. Cytochalasin A inhibits platelet-mediated adhesion of tumor cells to the endothelial matrix, displaying potential anticancer benefit. Cytochalasin A also inhibits Kv1.5 K+ channels in vitro. This compound’s disruption of actin polymerization also prevents phagocytosis in macrophages.
