Description

Entecavir is a cyclopentane class nucleoside analog of deoxyguanosine. Entecavir exhibits antiviral activity and is used clinically to treat hepatitis B infections. Entecavir binds to reverse transcriptase and gets incorporated into DNA, causing chain termination and preventing protein synthesis. This compound may also inhibit HIV-1 reverse transcriptase as well.
