Description

Granisetron is an antagonist at 5-HT3 receptors that exhibits antiemetic and anti-inflammatory activities. Unlike most similar-acting antiemetics, granisetron does not effect the cytochrome p450 metabolizing system. In animal models of colitis, this compound inhibited post-inflammatory visceral sensitivity.
