Description

GS-4997 is an inhibitor of apoptosis signal-regulating kinase 1 (ASK1). ASK1 is an important mediator of oxidative stress effects. It has shown efficacy in the treatment of cancer cell lines exhibiting overexpression of ABC transporters. It is also being evaluated as a treatment for non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).
