Description
IC-87114 is an inhibitor of p110δ PI3K that exhibits anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive, anti-asthma, anti-angiogenic, and anti-diabetic activities. In animals, IC-87114 inhibits airway infiltration of lymphocytes, neutrophils, and eosinophils, decreases expression of IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, and IL-17, and prevents activation of NF-κB, improving airway hyperresponsiveness. In cellular models, IC-87114 impairs cardiac and vascular differentiation, inhibiting VEGF-induced phosphorylation of PKC, Akt, and PDK1. IC-87114 also decreases infiltration of inflammatory cells into pancreatic islets, suppressing loss of glucose homeostasis and preventing the progression of diabetes in animal models.
