Description
Neuropeptide FF is an endogenous RF amide family peptide that exhibits anti-inflammatory and anti-analgesic activities. Neuropeptide FF binds NPFF1/2 receptors in the brain, regulating blood pressure and hormone secretion. In LPS-stimulated macrophages, neuropeptide FF decreases NO production and inhibits NF-κB translocation; in animal models, it suppresses carrageenan-induced edema. Additionally, neuropeptide FF inhibits opioid-induced stress-mediated analgesia in the forced swim test, displaying anti-opioid activity.
