Description
Salbutamol is a short-acting agonist at β2-adrenergic receptors that is clinically used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder (COPD). Salbutamol exhibits bronchodilatory, anti-asthma, tocolytic, antioxidative, and anti-inflammatory activities. In vivo, salbutamol decreases carrageenan-induced inflammation and nociception, suppresses activity of myeloperoxidase, and increases activity of superoxide dismutase and levels of glutathione.
