Description

4-Aminopyrimidine is a useful building block in preparation of several anticancer agents. Analogs have shown inhibition of PI3K/Akt/mTOR kinase pathway, inhibiting breast cancer cell growth within a murine model. Additional analogs have shown good potency as anti-Alzheimer’s agents with ability to cross the blood-brain barrier. The analogs have good bioavailability in addition to potential microbial activity.
