Description

Arginine vasopressin peptide (argipressin) is endogenously produced through activation of renin-angiotensin signaling pathways. Argipressin binds vasopressin V1a, V1b, and V2 receptors and exhibits pressor activity, increasing blood pressure. Argipressin induces vasoconstriction, smooth muscle contraction, and retention of water and sodium.
