Description

Tyr-MIF-1 is a neuromodulatory tetrapeptide of the MIF-1 family that acts as an antagonist at μ-opioid receptors (μORs), inhibits opioid-induced antinociception and analgesia in vivo. When administered alone, Tyr-MIF-1 may exhibit histamine-dependent antinociceptive activity itself. Additionally, Tyr-MIF-1 increases gastric motility, stimulating antral and duodenal myoelectric activity.
