Description

Naphazoline is an agonist at α1-adrenergic receptors that is clinically used to treat congestion and ocular pathologies such as myasthenic blepharoptosis; it acts as a sympathomimetic and vasoconstrictor. Naphazoline inhibits erythroid differentiation and erythroleukemia cell growth through the induction of autophagy and necrotic cell death.
