Description

Triptorelin is an analog of gonadotropin-releasing hormone I (GnRH-I); it is a decapeptide that activates the GnRH receptor in the pituitary gland, decreasing secretion of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). Triptorelin inhibits production of cAMP in a Ca2+- and PKC-dependent manner. Triptorelin exhibits anxiolytic and potentially anticancer activities. In vitro, triptorelin’s modulation of autocrine regulatory signaling may induce cell cycle arrest.
