Description

Hyaluronic acid is an endogenous anionic non-sulfated glycosaminoglycan that is found in connective tissue, epithelial tissue, and synovial fluid. Hyaluronic acid exhibits pro-inflammatory activity, binding surface proteins CD44, RHAMM, and ICAM-1. Hyaluronic acid is often used as a biomarker for cancers and fibrosis. (Streptococcus)
