DU-14 inhibits the amnestic effects of scopolamine, likely enhancing cognitive function through increasing levels of excitatory neurosteroids. In rats, DU-14 enhances memory acquisition and learning associated with contextual fear and spatial memory, but may impair memory acquisition in animals with hippocampal lesions.
